Shawn Boutot - Former Special Agent, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Homeland Security Investigations

Shawn BoutotShawn is a graduate from the University of Maine with a BS degree in Sociology. Shawn Boutot served as a Special Agent for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) through May 2014. Duties included investigating money laundering, commercial fraud, narcotic smuggling, worksite enforcement, child pornography as well as covert and overt cyber intellectual property rights. Shawn is a graduate of the elite Federal Law Enforcement Academy in Brunswick, Georgia.

Shawn was assigned to the United Nations General Assembly in New York City in 2009 and 2012. He assisted the Secret Service with Presidential and Diplomatic Protection.

With his knowledge and training, Shawn's vision was to develop a professional threat mitigation consultant firm, which would serve and protect clients by taking a proactive rather than reactive approach.

Shawn in 2009 was one of the lead ICE agents responsible for investigating an active shooter event at a civic center in Binghamton, NY where 13 people were killed and 4 wounded.

Shawn has deep relationships within the US as well as internationally within the law enforcement and military communities.  This gives him the unique ability to engage threat mitigation and security experts throughout the US and the globe as valued resources and consultants for Alaris engagements and programs. 

 

David Johnston - Former Senior Commander of Scotland Yard and Global Cyber Security Expert

David Johnston

David is a seasoned senior leader with considerable experience in national security and public private sector negotiating and capability building transnationally.

A former senior commander at Scotland Yard, David has extensive experience of crisis management and the management of complex and sensitive investigations.

As the lead for Economic Crime at Scotland Yard, David provided strong leadership and strategic advice to government and large financial institutions to manage the implementation and understanding of AML policy and compliance.

In addition, David was a senior leader in GCHQ, the British equivalency of the United States NSA. He developed cross agency teams to provide technical operational services and policy advice on countering terrorism, interception of communications and National security operations across the Intelligence and Law enforcement agencies of the UK.

Most recently, David has been occupied in setting up cyber and technology start-ups in the UK, building effective teams and developing marketing and sales strategies to increase market share and global recognition.

In 2008 David was awarded the Queens Police Medal by Her Majesty the Queen for outstanding contributions to UK policing and National Security. 

David holds a master’s degree in public administration, a post graduate diploma in criminology from Cambridge University and an HND in electrical engineering.
